Oat Silk Powder
Oat Silk Powder has excellent eco credentials and is guaranteed GMO free. It is water soluble and miscible with oils & other lipids. It is a matting, ultra fine smooth powder which will not clog pores and when added to other powders or lotions it keeps everything free flowing and has a nice slip. This oat has good opacity, adhesion and creaminess.
Some formulators like to use this powder on its own as a primer or as a finishing veil, but as it mixes well with other powders can be added to almost any other base powder. Due to the microcrystalline structure of this oat silk it leaves an impression of a soft, velvety skin.
Oat has a pH-value of approx 5.5 and is therefore similar to the pH-value of skin. This makes it skin-friendly for the skin, Oats have been used for centuries to soothe the skin and help relieve itching.
