Productomschrijving

This book identifies and assesses the performance of institutions that promotes small scale industries in Ghana, including the constraints faced by those institutions in the delivery of their services in the district. The potential role that small scale industries could play in the socio-economic growth and development of rural districts in Ghana, and the constraints they face in terms of poor skills, inappropriate production technology and unfavourable macro economic conditions, it is important to have an in-depth study into their internal bottlenecks and the failure of the promotional institutions to adequately meet their needs. This book highlights the weak role of District Assemblies in harmonizing and coordinating institutions that promotes the development of small scale industries in Ghana and provides useful recommendations in the form of policy interventions and strategies. This is an extraordinary book and an informational piece for students of social science and development students in the universities and colleges, development planners and practitioners which should have been written earlier than this. However, now that it is available, it is a must-read for all. Meer lezen Snelle levering vanuit Nederland.
